In case you missed it, the YHA (Youth Hostels Association) England & Wales, now welcomes Dogs in all of its 60 Camping & Cabin sites (with the exception of New Forest and YHA Exford).
“.… dogs are welcome to all YHA camping and cabin sites. The only exceptions are YHA New Forest and YHA Exford where local planning restrictions prevent this....Dogs can stay in camping and cabins products, but not in the main hostels."

Charges
It’s free to bring your dog if you are camping and just a £5 charge per night when staying in any other YHA camping and cabin products.
Any assistance dogs can stay at any YHA site free of charge.
YHA Membership
You don't have to be a member to stay with YHA. Membership benefits start from £5 and include reduced rates plus access to a host of benefits and discounts, from YHA and its partners.
