Dog are very social beings, and so are their Human companions, especially when out walking with their much loved Dogs. Dog Walking Groups are becoming increasingly popular: one of the advantages is that this also lends itself to sharing the Dog walking at times when someone may be indisposed or is pressed for time (also think helping elderly or infirm neighbours!).

Another possible – and big - Benefit is that as you get to know and trust your fellow walkers, you take turns "Dog Sitting", that is, looking after each other's Dogs when away on Trips or Holidays, thereby saving on Kennel / Sitting costs. This has the added attraction that it comes with the reassurance that your pet is being properly looked after in a real home, by a fellow (local) pet lover.
