Set in 80 acres of woodland and parkland, Tankardstown House offers a choice of accommodation in the main house and courtyard cottages.

Other dining facilities include the Tea Garden, a quaint, lop-sided cottage, with odd tables and mismatched china, serving Afternoon Tea (Gluten Free and Vegetarian options available). Opening hours: Saturday 1-4pm, Sunday 1-4pm.

Afternoon Tea also available in Brabazon Restaurant Wednesday - Friday, 12-3:30pm.

All cottages come with ensuite bath/shower room, downstairs sitting room, kitchen area, electric fire, tea/coffee facilities and mini-bar.

"My JRT and I stayed here last Winter. My accommodation was a self contained apartment to the side of main house. I can still remember the luxurious bed linen and calm interior which made for a very relaxing stay. Millie loved the parkland and even played with resident dog on the front lawn (sorry but can't remember his name). Staff could not do enough and were very accommodating with glass of wine and cheese plate after my late arrival! Highly recommend and can't wait to return"

"We've stayed here a few times over the past 3 years - Dogs are allowed in the Courtyard cottages - and these are superb Our cottage was on two floors - downstairs kitchenette and sitting room - bedroom and bathroom upstairs. The staff are really dog friendly - and the owners came over to us to say hello to their special visitor "our Dog Casey" during each of our visits - The resident dogs are friendly and wander around the grounds but they will not approach your dog unless you allow them.. The grounds are secure and have wonderful walks - we even saw some squirrels.... The food is exceptional with a lot of it grown on the grounds or sourced locally. We were allowed to bring our dog to the outside dining area of the restaurant - and on a cool night the staff would light the outdoor heaters... I would highly recommend staying here with your pet... only issue it is really hard to book as they do quite a lot of weddings - so if you are lucky to get a room here - you and your furry friend will have a great experience.
