Genuine Dog Friendly Hotel
"Have stayed here a number of times. Hotel is in a lovely peaceful location. Food is very good and rooms are comfortable and charming. Fires burning in winter make for a nice ambience. Its a small boutique style hotel so its easy to get talking to fellow guests. The hotel welcomes you and your dog and does not give you the bum room just because your dog is with you. It would be great if more hotels were this welcoming to pets."
Old Fashioned Charm
"A bit more of a country house than hotel. Food was excellent and they do very good breakfasts. Dining room is situated overlooking lush gardens. A bit genteel and old fashioned in a very charming way - some of the guests have been returning there year after year. Not too many hotels like this still around. We had an enjoyable stay except the bar did not do draft beer - bottled beer is not quite the same. But there is a pub just down the road. Dogs are welcomed and can stay in your room."
Enjoyable Stay
"This is a good value B&B on outskirts of Dungarvan. It is in a good location with sea views from the front. There is a little traffic noise at the front, however, but it is quiet at night. We took a room at the back which was very peaceful. Owners are welcoming but also allow you your privacy. Good breakfasts and there is a pub close by which does evening meals. Very welcoming to our dog. Would stay again."
A Hidden Beauty
"This is a lovely comfortable old world hotel. The gardens are beautiful in the summer. The hotel is set in a scenic location with some rooms having views across the bay. They are pet friendly and staff are friendly and helpful. A place to go back to."
Away from it All
"This is a nice basic hotel set in the hills of Glencar. The setting is wonderful and it is pet friendly and welcoming. Rooms are pleasant if basic and the breakfasts are good but the dinner menu could be improved upon. It was last year when I stayed so the menu may have improved. A pleasant stay in a grat location."
