"We stayed here in 2016 - and will be back again in 2017 Location :- The location of this hotel is wonderful for people travelling with their dogs.. the grounds have ample walks - but just a short drive away you've got lots of great places to walk / trek lots of mountains for hill walking, the Black valley and Killarney national park, Torc waterfall, for those who like a challenge Carrauntoohil is close by - the highest peak in Ireland - so if a wonderful day our if you are into Hill walking and exploring.. Please note the hills and mountains in Kerry have a lot of Sheep and wildlife i.e. deer - so please ensure your dogs are under control so as not to cause distress to the natives animals. Accommodation :- When making a reservation with your dog you will be offered a choice of a Dog friendly room or a kennel for your dog.. so the choice is yours.. Our choice was the Dog friendly room - which was beautiful decorated, spotlessly clean and a perfect location There is a €10 charge for a dog - but for that the dog gets a welcome pack - with pet treats, toy, pooh bags etc.. The room is setup for you and your dog - it has a pet bed, throw which can be put on the sofa if like ours he is a pampered pooch.. and they also provide dog bowls.. Food :- We choose room service which was prompt, a great selection, and met our dietary requirements (one Coelics catered for without any fuss) Cost :- Most hotels in Ireland which are dog friendly are either 4 or 5 star so expect to pay more then the average hotel price - but for that you get a wonderful experience and get to share with the entire family. "Myself my husband and our two dogs stayed here last September. I would have no hesitation in recommending this accommodation as a pet friendly hotel. We did have to enter the hotel via a separate entrance but that wasn't a problem. The hotel is exceptionally clean and with that in mind a dog shower is provided at the pet entrance. They also provide plenty of dog towels. The dogs are welcome in bedrooms but they also provide kennels in the car park if you need to leave the dogs behind for any reason i.e. the dining room etc. They provide dog beds, blankets dog treats and bowls. Will definitely be returning. Great location also with forest walks available on the grounds. "
